Are you new to massage therapy?
Relax knowing that you are in good hands.

If you’ve never had a massage before, you may have a few questions.  Don’t worry, many people have a variety concerns so please feel free to ask me about anything that isn’t answered here.

What Do I Wear?

It doesn’t really matter what you wear to your massage, since you will be undressed during your massage.

How Much time Do I Need?

Allow an extra half hour to fill out a short health history form, have a talk with Lesley about what brought you in for massage, and also to give yourself time to dress and undress.  If you are scheduled for an hour massage, that means that you will be on the massage table receiving massage for a full 60 minutes, no less.

What Should I Expect?

You will be in a private room while I wait outside.  After you’re undressed, you climb onto the massage table between the sheets.  I’ll come in when you’re ready.  As I massage each area, I’ll pull back the sheets and tuck you in when I’m done.

Should I Take My Jewelry Off?

If you remove your jewelry, it makes it easier for me to massage your neck and arms, especially with bracelets and necklaces.

Do I Need to Drink Water?

Yes, always drink as much water as you can after a massage.  It increases your blood circulation as well as loosening up unwanted debris lodged in your muscles.  Drinking water helps your body replace blood cells and flush out anything unwanted. Too little hydration can cause your muscles to feel sore.
